What Can Chelsea Fans Expect From Maurizio Sarri?

"During Antonio's time at the club, we won our sixth league title and eighth FA Cup".

Ex-Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is expected to take over from Conte, who took pre-season training this week.

Giovanni Martusciello, who is now the technical collaborator of Inter Milan, has reportedly turned down the chance to join Maurizio Sarri's coaching staff at Chelsea.

Chelsea are set to announce the departure of manager Antonio Conte after two years in charge.

"We wish Antonio every success in his future career", the statement read.

The Italian manager's relations with the west London club's hierarchy have appeared strained, to put it mildly, since past year while his departure from Stamford Bridge has been flagged for months.

Winning the FA Cup against former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's Manchester United in May was scant consolation to finishing 30 points behind champions Manchester City in the league.

That success didn't go unnoticed and unlike in England, one of the big clubs did come calling for a manager doing well at a so-called smaller club and Sarri was off to Napoli. "Great man, Great manager".

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola and Giovanni Martusciello are expected to join Sarri's backroom staff while Italian-Brazilian midfielder, Jorginho, is now undergoing a medical at Cobham and will also follow Sarri from Naples to London.

Recall that Conte was sacked after spending two years at the Stamford Bridge.

In May, Napoli appointed Carlo Ancelotti to replace Sarri amid speculation that the latter could take the Chelsea job.

Sarri has also presented a list of players he would like to sign. Attention will then turn towards securing Sarri and Chelsea's other summer targets, believed to include players such as Aleksandr Golovin and Daniele Rugani.
