The next iPhone might actually come in some interesting colors

We can all pretty much agree that there will be three new iPhones launched later this year, that much is nearly a given following months of rumors reiterating that fact. It will be available in a multitude of colors including grey, white, red, blue, and orange. "The 6.5" iPhone is expected to come in black, white, and gold.

This year's iPhones may give you a few new color options to choose from, according to a report by Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo, obtained by MacRumors.

Apple has made red iPhones in the past, but they have usually been introduced well into the product cycle and have had Product Red charity branding.

In a bit of a twist, Kuo didn't mention green or purple, but the analyst said nearly every other colour could show up on 2018 iPhones, with the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone X successor available in "grey, white, blue, red and orange", while the larger 6.5-inch version may come in black, white and gold.

The final device Apple is planning to release isn't technically a new device; Rather, it will be an iPhone X with slightly beefier specs.

The three phones are expected to have large displays with the cut-out "notch" design of the iPhone X, and the two larger models are expected to have the dual-camera setup on the back that the X also has.

This isn't like the Rose Gold color we've seen on some previous Apple handsets though, we would expect it to look more like the iPhone SE's gold shade.

Some iPod models were available in as many as nine different colors.

With the new colours and competitive pricing, Kuo expects the LCD iPhone to account for 55% of sales when the new iPhones launch and take even more share through 2019.
