England have potential for much more, says proud Gareth Southgate

Gareth Southgate's England side have exceeded all expectations in Russian Federation this summer with the Three Lions preparing to face Croatia tonight, in, what will be just the third World Cup semi-final in their history.

The whole Good Morning Britain team donned their waistcoats to cheer on the England side on Wednesday morning.

Harry Webster, 11, who is captain of the school football team, wore a grey waistcoat for the occasion.

"There were questions over Sime Vrsaljko but our right-back trained normally and could be ready", they stated below an image of the player in training.

"I think the smart way he dresses makes it look like he is taking it seriously".

"Meanwhile, the Lorraine show posted a throwback snap on its Instagram page of host Lorraine Kelly in a tartan waistcoat years ago, writing: "#WaistcoatWednesday fever has officially hit ahead of #ENGCRO tonight, but did you know that @lorrainekellysmithwas rocking the waistcoat long before Gareth Southgate made it cool?"

It would mean he and his classmates have even more reason to celebrate after finishing second place in the Kent county finals tournament.

"Well, I tell you what, it's coming home".

He said: "I just picked up on what everyone has been saying about Southgate's get-up".

Thousands of supporters in Russian Federation and millions at home will watch nervously as the team face Croatia for the right to play in Sunday's final - and potentially end 52 years without a major trophy.

"Everyone at school has been talking about the football. We are really pleased with his contribution".
