'Avengers: Infinity War': Josh Brolin's Thanos Snap Ban Crashes Reddit Servers

The Avengers 4 promotion sees half the subscribers to the sub getting banned some time tomorrow on Monday, July 9th. If that number keeps climbing this could be one of the biggest (if not the biggest) bans in Reddit history.

"Here we go, Reddit Users", a shirtless Brolin said smiling before he snaps his fingers. Fans were loving the addition by the director and Brolin, and filled the comments with applause and jokes from the movie. It seems only fitting since Thanos did that very thing in the movie, but on a galactic-or universal-scale. Like Loki, Thanos had a likeable quality where many moviegoers actually understood and sympathized with his beliefs. Therefore, he was at least theoretically vulnerable to "the Snap", which reduced half of the MCU's characters to dust.

Even Thanos himself supports the ban.

Reddit's massively popular subreddit, r/thanosdidnothingwrong, is such a place where these Thanos-inclined philosophers can gather and chew the fat, but inevitably, there came a moment when the registered members decided they should put their money where their mouths are, and now plans are afoot for half the group's members to be mass banned, with a date penciled in for 9th July.

The subreddit now has over 533,000 followers which will drop to half tomorrow at some point in time. They might have corndogs soon enough, so it's not that bad. It's not clear at what time the recreation of the Infinity War snap will take place, but make sure to have your Reddit notifications turned on to learn your fate.

After collecting all six Infinity Stones, Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of the film to fulfill his goal of achieving balance. The Infinity War tribute page is now trending and gaining even more attention than it ever though it was going to. Let's hope he doesn't take it too hard, who knows what it could mean for the production of Avengers 4.
