All 12 boys and soccer coach rescued from flooded Thailand cave

All 12 boys and soccer coach rescued from flooded Thailand cave

A doctor and three SEALS who had stayed with the footballers would also come out on Tuesday, he added. A person with knowledge of the rescue said just before the eleventh person was spotted, that 10 people had been brought out. But rescue officials were also anxious about dwindling oxygen levels in the cave.

Officials did not comment on the rescue mission as it took place, so details of the final day of the rescue and the condition of the last five to be brought out were not immediately known. Thirteen foreign divers and five members of Thailand's navy SEAL unit are taking part in the rescue operation.

Authorities then struggled to determine the best way to save the "Wild Boars", with the group stuck on a shelf above the floodwaters in pitch darkness.

And Gianna Infantino, the president of Federation Internationale de Football Association, soccer's governing body, has invited the boys to the World Cup final in Moscow on Sunday.

Public health officials said at a press conference from the hospital that the first four rescued boys had low temperatures.

All eight boys rescued on the first two days are being treated in an isolation ward in a Chiang Rai hospital.

The 12 boys, aged from 11 to 16, went missing along with their adult coach on June 23. After they were found on July 2, officials cautioned it could take some time to get them out, but authorities chose to act with heavy rains forecast to hit the region.

Officials said the rescued boys had not been identified out of respect for the families whose sons were still trapped.

Officials previously said they were battling a "war with water and time" to save the team - warning it could be up to four days before all 13 people are brought to safety.

A tenth boy has emerged from deep within a cave complex in northern Thailand, the second to be rescued on the third day of a huge global operation to save the boys and their coach.

Several ambulances were seen leaving the rescue site at around 12:40 p.m. local time, although it was unclear if the boys were inside. However, Dr. Jesada Chokedamrongsuk of the Thai ministry of public health said the boys will not be able to make the trip, reported Channel News Asia.

Four boys and their soccer coach remain in the cave.

Heavy rains lashed the northern Thai region late yesterday and a steady downpour has continued into today.

Four more of the boys were carried on stretchers out of the labyrinthine Tham Luang cave on the Myanmar border at dusk on Monday, bringing to eight the number brought out after two rescue pushes on successive days.

Rescue chief Narongsak Osatanakorn said efforts were expected "quicker or at least as quick as yesterday".

The emergence of the second batch of four boys on Monday evening was greeted with a simple "Hooyah" by the SEAL team on their Facebook page, an exclamation that lit up Thai social media. Later, Musk posted videos showing the testing a mini-pod that could be potentially used to rescue the boys stuck in the cave. The team's 25-year-old coach and four boys are still deep inside the flooded and sprawling cave.

Musk has offered a "kid-sized" submarine, named Wild Boar after the kids' soccer team, to help in the rescue operation.

The rescued boys are being quarantined in case any of them contracted infections while inside the cave.
