"I was lucky to pass the 12 week scan without suffering from morning sickness", Middleton wrote.

This will be Pippa's first child.

It's official: Pippa Middleton has confirmed she's pregnant with her and James Matthews's first child in a fitness column she wrote for Waitrose Weekend, a publication associated with the British grocer.

"Who knows what the next few weeks have in store", she said. That meant that I was able to carry on as normal, ' she shared.

Pippa and James got married just a little over a year ago and we're happy to hear about this great news.

Middleton made the announcement by opening up about her pregnancy in her latest column for United Kingdom supermarket monthly, Waitrose Kitchen magazine.

"Could I still work my abs?".

Her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during her pregnancies.

Since learning she was pregnant, Middleton says she has been trying to figure out the best way to safely continue working out.

"Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told - James aside - and they could not have been more delighted".

She went on to demonstrate how to do squats, lunges and reverse flyes using lighter weights but said that pregnant women should avoid running.

"I've noticed my body change and weight increase, but through effective exercise and sports I feel that it's been strengthened to support a healthy pregnancy, birth and recovery", wrote the 34-year-old author and columnist.

Neither Kensington Palace nor the Duchess of Cambridge have commented on Pippa's news, but the royal family is no doubt delighted.
