Lukaku and Hazard score two each as Belgium rout Tunisia 5-2

The goal means Lukaku became only the fifth Belgium player to score in back-to-back World Cup matches, with Marc Wilmots the last to do it when he scored in every group-stage game in 2002.

Roberto Martinez has revealed that Belgium are sweating on the fitness of three star men ahead of their World Cup showdown with England.

A win would put the Red Devils in pole position to qualify for the last 16. Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard each netted a brace, with Lukaku moving into a tie on the top scorer leaderboard with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Belgium will assess the fitness of all three players within the next 48 hours.

He indicated Belgium will be particularly vigilant during set-pieces, noting that 60 percent of goals at the tournament so far had come from dead-ball situations, including both of Harry Kane's strikes in England's 2-1 win over Tunisia.

Hazard scored the opener on a sixth-minute penalty, converting after he was taken down just inside the right of the area by Syam Ben Youssef.

Dylan Bronn headed one back for Tunisia in the 18th minute before Lukaku restored Belgian's two-goal lead in first-half stoppage time.

Michy Batshuayi should have made it 5-1 for the Red Devils 11 minutes before time with a glorious chance inside the box but his strike hit the underside of the crossbar.

Any faint hopes that Tunisia had of clawing their way back into the game were extinguished six minutes into the second half when Hazard scored his second.

Belgium were much the better team from the off, looking unsafe on nearly every attack, but they were seriously aided and abetted by some ragged defending and non-existing marking from their opponents.

"The World Cup does not respect generations, the World Cup doesn't respect individual names, it only respects winning teams", he said.
