Jose Mourinho Still Keen To Agree Deal With Controversial Midfielder

"Why not? Everybody knows Marouane Fellaini in the Premier League", he said when asked about the move by Sky Sports.

Sandro remains their priority target but at the moment Manchester United have not made a concrete move to take the full-back to Old Trafford this summer.

The Manchester Evening News says 13 of Europe's top clubs were interested in Dalot and eight were willing to pay considerably more than his £17.5m release clause to sign him before it became active on June 30.

Paul Pogba, at 25 is entering an important period in his career on a personal level and for United - his third season will be the most pivotal of all.

United have already signed a defensive midfielder in Fred to prepare for the apparently imminent departure of Fellaini. Alexis Sanchez is expected to shake off the cobwebs and rediscover his best form from the get go in August while defender Eric Bailly, comfortably United's best centre-half, who missed a big chunk of last season to injuries, will be keenly watched as his stock promises to go up with time and experience.

His decision to opt for China means United will have to expand their search for a versatile forward who can play on the right of a front three or offer creativity from a central role off the main striker.

Apparently he's sticking to that though by attempting to make an incredible six signings in one summer transfer window, especially considering it's one that'll be shorter than usual and a World Cup one too.

The Manchester United striker insisted he has a good relationship with Red Devils boss Mourinho.
