Come watch EA's E3 2018 press conference with us!

We'll be live blogging EA Play in about a half hour and will keep eagle eyes out to see if the leak is true!

Anthem has been one of our most-anticipated E3 2018 games for a while, and EA obliged with a pretty good three-part look at the online RPG during its Hollywood press conference. The Dominion, the bad guys, are looking to use the "Anthem of creation" to create even more chaos in the world.

That story isn't just for background - the world will indeed change in permanent ways as BioWare continues to support Anthem after launch.

Speaking about a Anthem beta release date, he added: "Remember, we are still a distance out".

The decision to move away from "pay-for-power" advantages comes with a backstory for the publisher, which was highly criticized after revealing the extent of microtransactions in "Star Wars: Battlefront II" a year ago.

Battlefield 5 will be another big game featured during EA Play, whiel Respawn Entertainment have also teased that one of their new projects will be teased during the show.

When it comes to new details being shared during EA Play, fans are hoping for a few things. More's the pity. Citadel was ace, though, so if there's a breath of that sort of camaraderie in Anthem we might get to enjoy some of that BioWare magic after all.

They will also get early access to Madden 19, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Battlefield V and Anthem. EA will, however, monetise the game through paid cosmetic modifications to Javelins, much like the skins in Fortnite.

Anthem finally got its moment in the spotlight today, and while there was lots of buzz words being thrown around, we did see some gameplay and learn the game is releasing on 22nd February 2019. You can switch between these for any given mission, it's not a permanent choice.

They also showed four classes of Javelin you'll be able to switch between, titled Ranger, Colossus, Interceptor and Storm with ranging abilities.

There will be no loot boxes in the game, nor any other pay-to-play schemes that give players unfair advantages.
