CBS is the latest network to unveil its fall schedule for the 2018-19 TV season.

CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl confirmed to reporters that the dynamic between Murphy and her son's programs will be comparable to the one that exists between Morning Joe and Fox & Friends.

CBS' fall schedule unveiled Wednesday includes the return of "Murphy Brown", a "Magnum P.I." reboot, two other new dramas and two new comedies with black leads that will run back-to-back on Mondays. Jay Hernandez will take over the starring role from Tom Selleck. "This new programming has inspired stories from CBS' iconic past; unique concepts from both new creative voices and established hit-makers; big stars and fresh on-screen talent; and programming that is inclusive, both in front of and behind the camera". "The Neighborhood" follows Calvin Butler, who is an opinionated neighbor in a comedy about what happens when the friendliest guy in the Midwest moves his family to a neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone looks like him or appreciates his extreme neighborliness.

Murphy is now anchoring a cable morning show, Murphy In the Morning, with her old team, lifestyle reporter Corky Sherwood (Faith Ford), investigative journalist Frank Fontana (Joe Regalbuto) and producer Miles Silverberg (Grant Shaud).

During Wednesday's upfront presentation, CBS showed behind-the-scenes video, with Bergen talking about "Murphy Brown" and promising to tackle "alternative facts and fake news".

Half-hour comedy Happy Together stars Damon Wayans Jr and Amber Stevens West in a comedy about a 30-something happily married couple who begin to reconnect with their younger, cooler selves. Executive producer Dick Wolf's new crime drama is set in NY and stars Jeremy Sisto, Zeeko Zaki, Missy Peregrym and Connie Nielsen. Nik Dodani plays Pat Patel, the director of technology for the FYI team's new show, and Tyne Daly is introduced as Phyllis, the sister of Phil (Pat Corley, who passed away in 2006), and the new owner of Phil's Bar & Grill.
