Next New Character Being Introduced to the MCU After Captain Marvel Revealed

Adding further to it Marvel revealed, "We have plans for that once we've introduced Captain Marvel to the world". Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American from New Jersey, and she became Marvel Comics' first Muslim character to headline her own comic book. "We are doing Captain Marvel right now".

In an interview with BBC, the Marvel honcho talked about the production for "Captain Marvel", which stars the Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson as the titular character, before he made the revelation. She took on the former identity of her hero Carol Danvers, who dropped the Ms Marvel moniker in the Marvel comics when she took on the mantel of Captain Marvel in 2012.

That's the thinking of fans, who couldn't be more excited...

This suggests that the Marvel universe could explore any of the remaining 7,000 characters that still haven't been introduced to fans, reported Hindustan Times.

Marvel's first-ever Muslim superhero will soon make an appearance on the big screen, if the franchise's studio boss gets his way.

After a lot of criticism for casting mainly white, male characters in major roles, Marvel is trying to diversify its film slate by including characters of colour and female superheroes.

Since the announcement the internet has been sent into meltdown with comic book fans speculating over who should play the teen icon. She tweeted after getting the part two years ago: 'I'm her voice and she's my alter ego in Marvel Avengers Academy!' It's a struggle we've all faced in one form or another, and isn't just particular to Kamala because she's Muslim.

The company is also desperate to maintain its course in still pushing diversity through its creation of new characters and stories.
