Avengers: Infinity War's Thanos leaves Fortnite tomorrow

"We've discovered an issue that's going to delay the release of v4.2", Epic tweeted. Downtime begins at 4am ET (08:00 GMT),' Epic Games said in a statement overnight.

As soon as the patch notes do officially roll out, we will update you with everything new in the update. Sometimes, weapons are added with none taken out, which may be the case with the Burst Assault Rifle, owing to the fact that the Season 4 update vaulted the crossbows without adding in any new weapons.

Last week, Thanos invaded the world of Fortnite in an epic Marvel crossover event. That one player then gets their hands on the Infinity Gauntlet which is the glove that has all of the six Infinity Stones through which Thanos causes havoc in the universe.

In the special gameplay mode, Thanos' all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet - which in the movies has the power to instantly wipe out trillions of living beings - will spawn at random points in the map.

Also, we know that the new burst assault rifle looks set to appear with Fortnite update 4.2.

It's unclear if Epic Games will replace the Fortnite Avengers mode with another limited time mode (LTM) or hold off on launching a new event. This Fortnite 4.2 delay means that the patch will no longer launch today, which had been Epic's original plan.

Fortnite Battle Royale is free to play now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Mobile.

Research has revealed that in April Twitch megastar Tyler "Ninja" Blevins had the biggest social interactions of all athletes.
