The LAPD's piracy unit raided 21 locations in a downtown shopping area, some of which were stands selling knock-off cosmetics.

Cheaper isn't always better, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police Capt. Marc Reina announced the results of the operation Thursday evening on Twitter, adding that the fake cosmetics were "found to contain bacteria and human waste".

The confiscated makeup included popular brands such as MAC, NARS, Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner and Urban Decay, KABC reported.

The LAPD was tipped off by the brand-name companies, which received complaints from consumers who said they had rashes and bumps after using their products. When their lab tested the contents, they discovered the products were full of shit - figuratively and literally.

The LAPD detective also said that companies must meet health and safety standards, which are often expensive.

"Those feces will just basically somehow get mixed into the product they're manufacturing in their garage or in their bathroom - wherever they're manufacturing this stuff", he continued.

Following news of the raid, Kylie's sister, Kim Kardashian, tweeted her reaction to the raid, saying "SO GROSS!"
