A new version of Gmail is in the offing

Now, TechCrunch has reported on a new feature in the new Gmail: the ability to send confidential emails that expire. With the next update, users will soon be greeted with Google Calendar directly on their Gmail web.

Google demonstrates its new AI model using a series of videos including one of two stand-up comedians talking loudly at the same time (which you can watch below), and its effectiveness is startling.

Walking on the line of other applications like Snapchat, Line and Signal, Gmail is also devising a feature which will let users draft self-destructing emails.

Google has kept in mind all of its users and developed the Confidential Mode in a backward compatible way, which means that users of the earlier version of Gmail will also be able to receive the messages in Confidential Mode via a link.

With the upcoming changes, users will also able to mute their emails for a specified amount of time, like snoozing notifications on a smartphone to clear up the screen.

The new Google Go will allow users to search and see their favourite news sites and apps from a single location on their devices.

However, the most exciting feature of all might be a new "Confidential Mode" revealed by reports on Friday. The new mode will also allow senders to restrict the recipient from copying, downloading, or even printing the email.

Google in its mail assured a "fresh, clean look for Gmail on the web,".

According to a screenshot shared by TechCrunch, Google said "In the coming weeks, we'll be announcing an Early Adopter Program (EAP) for a new experience in Gmail". From there they'll need to login again to read the email. The revision states, "Our automated systems analyse your content (including emails) to provide you personally relevant product features, such as customised search results, tailored advertising, and spam and malware detection".

While we still don't have a launch date, the new Gmail is expected to make its first official appearance at the company's annual developer conference next month on 8th. This new security feature will give you, the sender, more control.
