After dreams and pleads for a certain toy, the excitement of walking in and claiming what is yours is unmeasurable.

The national company has been closing stores and a year ago filed for bankruptcy protection, trying to shed its debt load.

Toy R Us Australia have made a statement on Facebook that is nothing but positive.

Toys " R " Us also announced that it is pursuing a going concern reorganization and a sale process for its Canadian and worldwide operations in Asia and Central Europe, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In February, the number rose to 380.

Toys R Us dominated the toy store business in the 1980s and early '90s, when it was one of the first of the category killers - big stores that are so totally devoted to one thing and have such impressive selection that they drive smaller competitors out of business.

Brandon said Toys R Us will try to bundle its Canadian business, with about 200 stores, and find a buyer. She said her kids "like to just come and look around even if I don't buy anything".

But, it won't be open for long. Past year toymakers Mattel and Hasbro each sold about $1 billion worth of their toys at Walmart, more than twice as much as what they sold through Toys "R" Us. At the Fresno store, the signs say up to 50% off, but not everything is on sale just yet.

The company's USA online store would still be running for the next couple of weeks in case there's a buyer for it.
