Tarantino's new film adding Margot Robbie

After being attached to the project since last summer, Deadline has confirmed that I, Tonya Oscar nominee Margot Robbie is in final negotiations to join Leonardo DiCaprio (Inception) and Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

She was also considered to be one of Hollywood's rising stars when she was killed. And stay tuned for updates.

The film will tell the story of the murder of Tate and several others in a killing spree instigated by Charles Manson.

At the time of her murder, Sharon was married to controversial filmmaker Roman Polanski. DiCaprio is set to play Rick Dalton, a former star of a television western. "Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don't recognize anymore", explains the site.

It's going to be called Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and will be set in Los Angeles in 1969. "And I couldn't be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio and Pitt as Rick and Cliff".

Deadline first reported in July that Tarantino had approached Margot Robbie about playing the actress Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the Manson Family.

Hype is seriously building for Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming Charles Manson movie, which he recently announced would be named Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Tarantino's ninth feature will be released by Sony Pictures on August 9, 2019, which marks the 50th anniversary of Tate's murder.
