State of Decay 2 Getting a Loaded Collector's Edition

Undead Labs studio head Jeff Strain confirmed the news, but no specific details have been revealed by the developer of State of Decay 2.

Being a more powerful console with more processing power and higher resolution, State of Decay 2 will naturally look better on the Xbox One X than it does on the original Xbox One.

The Collector's Edition includes several goodies, including a zombie mask, a steel box case, a human brain steelbook stand, patch and a literal 'thumb drive.' The whole bundle will be priced around $69.99 (allowing for regional differences and possible deviations from different retailers).

State of Decay 2 is coming to Xbox One and PC this May, and with it you'll get a set of some pretty cool extras if you decide to purchase the State of Decay 2 Collector's Edition. That's not bad, considering the price. Oh, a zombie mask, for one.

Microsoft had previously announced both a Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition of the game on the digital front, but this Collector's Edition looks to add a few physical goods to the package - even though it's based more around the standard edition. It's a great way to check out titles like Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 and more without driving yourself deeper into debt.

You can view 25 minutes of 4-player co-op in State of Decay 2 below. So, in one interpretation, the Collector's Edition actually costs at least $99.98, if you intend to play the game.
