Rally 4 announced for 2018 release on consoles and PC

It's been a long 15 years since the last game in the V-Rally series, after what was then Infogrames made a decision to give up after the third game, but now Bigben are revitalising it with Kylotonn Games behind the wheel. I had a chance to join the team that created V-Rally to develop V-Rally 3 on the PlayStation 2 as a programmer.

Kylotonn Racing Games, the studio responsible of titles like WRC 7 and TT Isle of Man, is developing this new entry, and in the announcement they mention their objective of striking a flawless balance between the thrill of the races, the quality of the rally simulation, and the visual presentation.

Rally: Race across tracks from around the world in different weather conditions, including snow and mud.

French studio Kylotonn Racing Games and Bigben Interactive is bringing an all new racing experience to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this year with its V-Rally 4 entry.

There will be a variety of modes included in the game, including hill climbs, drift challenges, buggie races, rally runes, rallycross, and more.

Buggy: Hop into your all-terrain vehicle to win the race on these particularly rugged tracks. You can collect, upgrade, customise, and master popular cars, three of which can be seen in the game's teaser trailer - a Porsche 911 Safari, Ford Mustang, and Ford Fiesta RS RX.

V-Rally will also feature a full career mode and online modes. "I'm very proud to be working on the franchise again 15 years later".

It'll boast some 50 models of auto and a variety of different events including straight-up rally, gymkhana, rallycross, hillclimbs and buggy events.

It has been two decades since the first "V Rally" racing game has been released for the original PlayStation.

A front-runner in the digital entertainment industry, BIGBEN applies its expertise to the strategic fields of gaming, mobiles, and audio. After a hiatus that's lasted since 2003, the games are finally making a return with a release coming to multiple systems, including Nintendo's latest console. Kylotonn is comprised of 60 developers, and has their own 3D engine: the Kt Engine 3D.
