Malcolm Butler to sign with the Tennessee Titans

The Titans got their complementary running back for Derrick Henry.

The Tennessee Titans added their second New England Patriot on Tuesday. So it is no surprise that the Dolphins, along with many other teams are trying to sign the 27-year-old. Be it Steve Slaton in Houston, Roy Helu in Washington, or Devonta Freeman in Atlanta, they have all had to run stretch-zone, inside dives, and be able to act as a unsafe checkdown weapon.

The two-time Super Bowl champion cornerback will officially sign with the Tennessee Titans today, according to a source.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport pegs the agreement as a four-year deal that will pay him among the top 10 running backs in the game.

The biggest reason Lewis stuck with the Patriots was his versatility. He caught 32 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns last season.

Patriots Rumors: At least three teams in on Dion Lewis

The New England Patriots made it pretty clear cornerback Malcolm Butler wasn't long for the team in Super Bowl LII, when the Pro Bowler was inexplicably in uniform but never stepped onto the field on defense. He played his first 16-game season in 2017, setting career highs in rushing yards (896) and total touchdowns (nine) while upping his asking price as free agency loomed.

Murray's base salary for the 2018 season would have been $6.25 million, and he would have received a bonus of $250,000 had he been on the Tennessee roster on Sunday.

Last season, the Giants ground attack was among the worst in the league, combining for just 1,549 yards as the Giants finished with the league's No. 26 rated rushing offense.

Lewis would theoretically fill the 3rd down running back and "scat-back" niche in new head coach Frank Reich's offense, which utilized Wendell Smallwood, Corey Clement, and Darren Sproles in similar capacities over the past two seasons with the Eagles.
