Dumbledore was the administrator of the court, with the title of Chief Warlock, as well as the British Youth Representative to the court when he was younger.

The trailer hits nearly every beat that returning Harry Potter fans would want to see: there's familiarity, nostalgia and the return of beloved characters and ideas from the main-line series as well as the continuation of the Fantastic Beasts story, which was charming enough to bring in more than $800m.

The action-packed trailer opens with three wizards apparating onto a bridge just outside Hogwards School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

In the past, J.K. Rowling, the "Harry Potter" author who wrote the screenplays for both the "Fantastic Beasts" movies, defended the decision to cast Depp on Twitter, citing both Heard's and Depp's desire to move on. "Cause according to 'Hogwarts, A History" you can't Apparate or Disapparate on the grounds, ' said a forth. "But I think all the fans are aware of that".

However, another fan pointed out that Rowling herself had previously told Harry Potter fansite Pottermore that apparation was always banned in Hogwarts. The film is scheduled for release on 16 November.

If you can remember, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) at the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

From what can be gleaned from repeated views, Dumbledore has sent Newt on a secret mission in Paris.
