Zack Snyder was reportedly fired from Justice League

Maybe Justice League was always going to be a disaster from the day somebody at Warner Bros. decided they wanted their DC movie universe to be some gritty, edgy alternative to the generally more colorful and crowd-pleasing Marvel movies. The dream sequence saw Batman fighting Parademons and Superman Soldiers in a dystopian future marked by Darkseid's Omega symbol. As of February 11, 2018, Justice League has grossed a worldwide total of $656.6 million.

"Justice League" may have already been headed for disaster in the box office even before its production wrapped up, as rumors indicate that director Zack Snyder may have been fired by Warner Bros. from the film before he even announced departure.

No one questioned Snyder's statement at the time. However, Entertainment reporter Josh Dickey is on his way out of the industry, and it seems like he's content to burn some bridges by offering up some juicy tidbits people probably aren't supposed to be know.

These claims aren't confirmed and most likely never will be.

The idea that Snyder was sacked from the DCEU - while still retaining producer credits on several upcoming films - isn't exactly shocking, but the timing of personal events past year complicated the story. Just leave the poor thing alone. Justice League was bad, performed poorly at the box office and Snyder's reason for leaving - whether fired or not - made no impact on any of it. Last week, a new deleted scene from the film surfaced, revealing that Superman's popular black suit in the original comics actually appeared at one point in the film - it's just that the scene was not able to make it to the final cut. That was probably not happening anyway but nearly certainly not now.

The following video is a preview of the "Suit Up: The Look of the League" featurette, in which Costume Designer Michael Wilkinson explores the innovation and artistry that goes into creating the costumes of DC's iconic heroes.
