Rain returns overnight with warming temperatures

High temperatures will rise to the upper 70s, potentially breaking a record high temperature. Lows tonight in the upper 30s to near 40. Today will be another above average day with our temperatures. With all the rain, there are some potential flooding concerns this week, especially where we see the heaviest rainfalls set up. President's Day, Monday, will feature scattered rain showers with warmer temperatures. Some may even reach 80 degrees, and several records could be broken. Rain chances start to increase on Wednesday. Temperatures will feel more like late April as we touch near 70 degrees once again. Highs for Sunday will be in the mid 70s with a 20% rain chance. Temperatures will be in the low 60s by morning. Each front will stall in South Alabama and lift back north as a warm front meaning at least a chance for rain remains in the forecast for the next week.

Overall, we expected about 2-3 inches of rainfall in total for this entire event from Monday to Wednesday.

Look for partly cloudy skies overnight with lows dropping into the low 60s.
