Pep Guardiola Reveals One Of The Most Talented Player He's Ever Seen

Man City beat Leicester 5-1 and coupled with a shock defeat at Newcastle for Manchester United, Pep Guardiola's side look more certain to win the title than ever.

Many pundits, including Neville and former England captain Alan Shearer, interpreted Guardiola's decision as a protest against a number of unsafe challenges made on City players during recent matches.

The Premier League leaders travel to Switzerland for the first leg next week and, asked whether Sane would play, Guardiola replied: "I don't think so".

"My example is my words, but the players' examples are the facts, and one of the best players we have is the guy who runs the most and fights the most".

Guardiola said: "Hopefully he will play, i want him to come back soon and play, we enjoy watching him".

"I would like to give [Aguero] a rest sometimes but he is the only striker we have", Guardiola added, with commitments across four competitions on the agenda this month.

City are unhappy with a series of challenges opponents have made on their players, some of which have resulted in injury. I am happy for him as well.

It was the ideal way for City to sign off from Premier League action for the month, with Pep Guardiola's side having Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup commitments in the next fortnight. At the same time five or six of the players I could have taken had a game here.

"The players have to understand we are going to concede chances, we are going to concede goals and it is how you handle those situations. He said, "I'm tired" but if there had been another game in three days he'd have been ready to play".

"But City's players are all well-paid world stars, so they don't need to boast about their earnings". But to be admired, to be loved, to get credit for what we have done, you have to lift the titles.

"We knew the quality of his passing but it is not just the quality of the pass, it is reading whether you can pass the ball here, here, here or there".

It was his third hat trick of the season and leaves him level with Liverpool's Mo Salah on 21 goals and two behind Tottenham's Harry Kane in the race to be the Premier League's top scorer.
