Modi visits Arunachal, inaugurates Convention Centre in Itanagar

On Wednesday, Tripura BJP chief Biplab Deb said the Modi government will act like a "father figure" to help the poor state stand on its feet and fulfil the partys campaign promises, if the party comes to power.

Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate the State Civil Secretariat Building to the nation and lay the foundation stone of the Academic Block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science.

Most of the key departments are based in the new secretariat.

"I am personally going to tell people - go to Arunachal Pradesh and hold your important meetings at the convention centre", he said.

Modi's second visit to Arunachal Pradesh was vehemently opposed by China which urged India to refrain from taking any action that may "complicate" the boundary question.

PM added, "Now the people of Tripura will not stand the Communist party's govt, bid them such a farewell that they can not return. aur ye vasuli tantra aur atyachaar ak karobar na chalayen,"PM Modi lauded".

Prime Minister Modi also tweeted about his visits to the temple and mosque, saying, "Feeling extremely blessed to pray at the Shiva temple in Muscat".

Speaking at the gathering, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu assured that the BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh will give account of every penny granted by the central government. Both the countries also signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special, service and official passports and an MoU on cooperation in the field of health, tourism and peaceful uses of outer space. The train, to be named as "Arunachal Express", will run twice a week, he added. Healthcare has to be of good quality and it must be affordable, says PM.

"This is more than a building, it is a vibrant centre that will further the aspirations of Arunachal Pradesh". Referring to the BJP-led NDA government's crusade against corruption, Modi said the government has been able to curb corruption through the direct bank transfer (DBT) scheme.
