Jose Mourinho Doesn't See Any Sense In Selling David De Gea

Thibaut Courtois may have spoken openly of his desire to return to the La Liga recently, but reports in Spain have suggested that Manchester United's David de Gea remains Real Madrid's top priority in the upcoming summer transfer market.

Real Madrid have been persistently linked with De Gea and came close to signing the Spain global in 2015.

Speaking ahead of his side's Premier League encounter against Newcastle United, via Sky Sports, the Portuguese manager was quizzed on the future of the talented goalkeeper, and hit out at claims that the club could sell him to Real Madrid at the end of the season. Manchester United agreed a £29m deal with the Spanish giants only for the deal to collapse after the paperwork was not filed on time.

However, despite a move between Manchester United and Los Blancos falling through in 2015, David De Gea could now make a move next summer and Jose Mourinho has finally answered the rumors.

Madrid famously failed in their attempt to lure De Gea to the club and he was quickly made to sign an extension to his contract with United. It makes no sense.

Since then the goalkeeper has continued his rise in the footballing world, establishing himself as one of the world's best players.

'If you want to go to that level you have to attract the best players like we did with Alexis [Sanchez], [Nemanja] Matic and [Paul] Pogba and so on.

Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in Eden Hazard and it's possible that the transfer can transpire if things don't improve at Stamford Bridge.

The Spanish shot stopper has won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the Europa League and the League Cup during his spell at Atletico.
