Facebook launches new list feature so users can share more personal content

(Web Desk) - Facebook launched a new update called Lists by which users can personalise the status box as it gives several options like bullet points, additional colours and designs. Facebook envisions users sharing their top five food cravings, goals for the year, and plans for upcoming trips through the new feature, which is created to spark conversations with your friends.

Facebook wants you to post more about yourself, instead of filling your news feed with viral videos and news articles.

In its continued push for more meaningful interactions on its platform, Facebook Inc.is rolling out a new feature that will allow for more personal posts from users. After you've opened the dialogue box, press "Add to your post", swipe up from the bottom and find Lists.

If your Facebook app has been updated with the new feature, you will see a "Lists" option.

Users can create any bulleted or numbered list they want and change its color or add emoji.

The tweaks are largely created to encourage people to interact with more content on the site and share more information about themselves, which Facebook will be able to use to sell more ads.

The Lists feature is merely the latest move by the social media giant to encourage less nonpersonal content on a user's news feed.

For now, the ability to create Lists is only available on Android. iOS users will be able to view Lists on their phones, but can't currently create them.

Facebook is now grappling with a declining user-base over in the USA. The company then said it would rank the news that it does show by "trustworthiness", asking users to weigh in on the outlets they trust most. It should be next to other options like Check In, Photo/Video, Tag Event, and Support Nonprofit.

You can customize your list with different background colors and emojis.
