Without Sanchez, Arsenal loses 2-1 to Bournemouth in EPL

Defeat leaves Arsenal in sixth place, five points off the top four ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester City later on Sunday, and without a win in five games in all competitions while Bournemouth moved four points clear of the bottom three.

Both sides looked less threatening in the first half of the tie as they headed into half time 0-0.

But after Arsenal's opener Bournemouth mounted pressure and nearly restored parity through Ibe who fired a tame shot which was saved by Petr Cech.

After a quiet start, the second half burst into life when Arsenal took the lead after 52 minutes, Hector Bellerin on target after Iwobi had put him through one-on-one with Begovic, who got a hand to the strike but could not stop it.

The 25-year-old was key to Bournemouth's comeback, though, scoring the first after a magnificent cross from Fraser and then providing the assist for Ibe's victor. Ryan Fraser found space in the box with five first half minutes remaining, only to be denied well by a Chambers block as the Gunners allowed an easy ball to come into the area from Ibe. Referee Kevin Friend had a brilliant view but turned down strong appeals from those in red and black.

Bournemouth erased a two goal deficit in the span of five minutes as Arsenal's slide down the table continues.

Iwobi played a lovely ball in behind to set the Spaniard free, before he raced into the penalty box and squirmed the ball through Begovic to find the net and grab his second goal in successive Premier League games.

"He doesn't, he goes to sleep, it falls to Ibe and it's 2-1".

Bournemouth make three changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Brighton last time out in the Premier League, with Pugh, Afobe and Arter dropping to the bench.
