"Let us investigate completely", Vaid said.

"We had inputs that one lady had come to Kashmir, who could be a suicide bomber", Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Munir Ahmad Khan told reporters, here. When pressed further and asked if the detained woman had planned suicide bombing in the Valley, the IGP said, "It is yet to be ascertained and verified whether she is a suicide bomber or not".

A Pune girl in her late teens who was suspected of planning a suicide attack on the eve of Republic Day in Kashmir was released after it was found that the allegations against her was the result of intelligence information being misinterpreted. "Matter may please be treated as most urgent", said the communiqué sent to all range deputy inspector general of police and district superintendents of police.

"We will be covering every other lead to know what the facts are. But, we can come to a conclusion only after a thorough investigation".

Sources said no incriminating documents or explosive device was seized from the alleged suicide bomber during her arrest.

Shaikh had been questioned by the Pune Anti-Terrorism Squad in 2015, when it came to notice that she had been radicalised after coming in with ISIS supporters overseas.

The girl, who turned 18 in November previous year, had come from Pune and was staying in Bijbehara near Anantnag as a paying guest and planning to join the ISIS, police had alleged after detaining her. She was later interrogated by the National Investigation Agency.

No offence was lodged against Sadiya in 2015, as she was a minor then and her family had fully supporting the investigators. But after radicalisation, they said she started wearing the burqa and practised all rituals meticulously.
