Outstanding Thibaut Courtois saves a scoreless draw for lacklustre Chelsea

Chelsea were held down to a goalless draw, the third time in a row, by a resilient Leicester City defence even after the visitors went down to 10-man in the 68th minute on Saturday.

Antonio Conte thinks other players are also to blame and not just striker Alvaro Morata for Chelsea's failure to score in their 0-0 draw with Leicester City on Saturday.

Gary Cahill has been substituted off in the first half of Chelsea's clash with Leicester City with an apparent hamstring injury.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has conceded that Leicester City "were the better team" for the majority of the game in their goalless draw at Stamford Bridge today.

The Blues are now level on points with second-placed Manchester United, who play on Monday.

Conte has reportedly frustrated some of his players with his intense personality and demanding training sessions and their inconsistent performances this season have added fuel to that fire.

However, recent reports suggested the Blues are struggling to make headway, with Juventus refusing to drop their £60million valuation of the player.

The Italian has spent much of the season grumbling about the lack of signings made by the club's hierarchy since he led Chelsea to the title last season.

Asked if Chelsea are considering a bid for Vardy, Conte told his news conference at Cobham on Friday: "No, honestly we didn't speak about him, but I repeat we are talking about a really good player".

In search of some inspiration and innovation, Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation when he withdrew Fabregas and Hazard, sending wingers Pedro and Willian onto the field.

The Foxes were reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes left to play as the full-back Ben Chilwell got his second booking of the match and was shown a red card.

Lanzini, whose only previous goal this campaign was in November, scored twice in five minutes during an impressive second period for the Hammers, who climbed above Huddersfield in the Premier League table.

Jan 7: Conte said: "When there are comments where you try to offend the person and don't know the truth, then you are a little man".

Elsewhere yesterday, Watford manager Marco Silva defended Abdoulaye Doucoure's controversial last-minute equaliser for his side in their 2-2 draw with Southampton, believing that it balanced out decisions that had gone against the Hertfordshire club earlier in the season.
