Miller slams CNN for 'low journalistic standards' during Fox interview

Miller slams CNN for 'low journalistic standards' during Fox interview

A White House spokesperson disputed the report, and said that Miller left the network on his own free will.

While many panned Miller's CNN fight with Tapper, he did have one very big fan in his corner, President Donald Trump.

Also in that meeting with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya was then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner.

A tense interview between a CNN host and a Trump official appeared to go off the rails over the weekend, and a media analyst says it's an example of the Trump administration aggressively dueling with a hostile media. Colbert exclaimed. "But everyone knows that Miller's actual age is... 38? 61?" "You're being obsequious, you're being a factotum in order to please [Trump]".

" Looks like somebody got a word-a-day calendar for the holidays!" he joked.

CNN confirmed to CBS News that Miller was escorted off the set following the interview.

Miller became unhinged quickly, prompting Jake Tapper to state the obvious: he was putting on a performance for an audience of one: President Donald Trump.

"CNN called around to news organizations and said you were escorted off the set by security", Carlson said.

Trump's chief policy advisor, Stephen Miller, calls the new book, Fire and Fury, "nothing but a pile of trash through and through". "Now we send - the White House sends people out just to kiss up to the president of the United States, and what's so remarkable, everybody knows that is the only objective".

"Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad s***, and I happen to think it's all of that, you should have called the Federal Bureau of Investigation immediately".

The picture painted by the book, said Mr Miller, "is so contrary to reality, to the experience of those who work with him (Mr Trump)".

Nikki Haley, the USA ambassador to the United Nations, said she visits the White House once a week, and "no one questions the stability of the president".

Tapper abruptly ended the interview, saying: "I think I've wasted enough of my viewers' time".

"But I think that like many things CNN says, the story has the most important virtue of all CNN stories of being not true", he added.

"I let you give like a three-minute filibuster at the very top", Tapper said before Miller fired back, "You gave me two minutes". "I sat on the couch, and that's the point of view I wrote this book from; the point of this book is to have readers sit on the couch and watch what's happening in the West Wing", said Wolff.
