Men: Kitty Pryde movie in development

While Pryde has always been a popular member of the X-Men team, if the film is made, it would be one of only a few times X-Men team members received solo films, others being the critically lauded Logan, and the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix. A Kitty Pryde movie is in development, but if history has taught us anything, it's that just because a project sparks into life at a major Hollywood studio - 20th Century Fox, in this instance - doesn't necessarily mean it'll see the light of day.

According to Collider, Deadpool alumn Tim Miller is now in the process of developing a solo movie centered around X-Men member Kitty Pryde.

The news comes from Collider who sites many unnamed sources.

Kitty's mutant power allows her to phase through solid objects, and she has risen to lead the X-Men in the comics, where she is often accompanied by her pet dragon, Lockheed. Channing Tatum's long-gestating Gambit, meanwhile, seems on course to make its February 14th 2019 release date while Drew Goddard is also hard at work developing an X-Force film that will build off the Deadpool films. Her character has appeared in the X-Men series of movies as cameo appearances and she was also depicted by actress Ellen Page for X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. In the episode, Pryde of the X-Men, Kitty Pryde is introduced to the X-Men and becomes a vital part of the team. Exciting though that may be, the outlet goes on to stress that, due to the historic Disney-Fox merger, Miller's project may never take that definitive step into production. It is available on YouTube on through many different streams and it is worth a watch to get an idea of why the character is so beloved.
