John Cena to Voice New 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Baddie for Nickelodeon

"Kids just love him, which makes him the flawless partner for these upcoming projects", said Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon Group. She noted that there was a resounding "he's our guy" when Cena emerged as a candidate to host the show a year ago.

The Nickelodeon show will debut later this year, and Cena can't wait to get started. "But having him come back two years in a row is flawless for us".

John Cena has big Nickelodeon news.

"The universe is kind of being redesigned and I think the audience is going to love it". Cena's reoccurring character will appear in the premiere episode and throughout the series, which follows the band of brothers as they encounter new mutants and villains and discover a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City.

Cena joins an already impressive cast on the series that includes Ben Schwartz (DuckTales), Omar Miller (Ballers), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Brandon Mychal Smith (You're The Worst) and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries)-who will lend her voice to the first African-American portrayal of April O'Neil. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will bow later this year.

The "Keep It Spotless" game show will be inspired by classic kids' entertainment shows such as "Double Dare" and "You Can't Do That on Television". The series is produced by ITV Entertainment and Hard Nocks South, based on a United Kingdom format from Possessed. 'It's gonna be super special to kids'.

Cena, who is still billed as a free agent in WWE, will make his return to TV on the RAW 25th Anniversary show on January 22nd.
