Firmino tells Coutinho: Liverpool different without you

Liverpool boast an array of exciting attacking talent but Klopp will have to find a way of knitting it together in the absence of the departed Brazilian.

Keita was signed from RB Leipzig a year in advance last summer, but the Reds are now reportedly desperate to bring the deal forward, albeit having to pay a premium in the process.

If a deal is agreed for Keita in the winter window, he will become the most expensive player in Liverpool's history.

"When we had this conversation around Coutinho, I said the same".

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is confident Liverpool are well-equipped for life without Philippe Coutinho, insisting it is "business as usual" at Anfield.

Liverpool has to move on, and quickly: Manchester City - the unbeaten English Premier League leader - arrives at Anfield on Sunday, in the Reds' first match without Coutinho as they battle for a finish in the Champions League qualification positions.

Coutinho's transfer surpasses the previous club record set by Dembele, whose fee was an initial 105 million euros ($126 million) that could eventually rise to 147 million euros ($176 million) depending on his success.

"I think he'll try his best to be remembered in the best possible way. That's the only thing I'm interested in".

"Of course it's an opportunity for me, just as it is for all the rest of the boys who want to play there, " he added.

There is no suggestion that home-grown Kane is agitating for a move, with the club on the verge of moving to a new stadium but Levy sounds confident he can keep the circling sharks at bay.

"I am the type of person who relishes the chance to stand up and perform under pressure, I have had to do that my whole career".

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Really enjoyed playing with you even if it was for such a short time".

"What I would say is he's obviously very athletic, got a lot of qualities - a bit like Jordan Henderson has".
