Dark Souls Remastered is on its way - PC, PS4, Xbox, Switch

If you're on a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, or a PC powerful enough to run 4K, you can die at 60 FPS in an upscaled 4K resolution.

However if you don't yet have a Nintendo Switch or have yet to play Dark Souls, don't worry. Nintendo revealed that Dark Souls: Remastered is on the way for the Switch, bringing the immensely popular series to Nintendo hardware for the first time.

Apparently, the game will feature the Artorias of the Abyss DLC - which would make sense as Remastered games tend to compile all the DLC into one package.

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of information about Dark Souls: Remastered out there just yet.

A Dark Souls: Remaster has always been something that the community has clamored for, and initial reaction on the internet is incredibly positive. A Dark Souls Trilogy box has been announced for PlayStation 4 in Japan. As of yet this has not been announced for other regions. The set collects all three Dark Souls games along with a host of extra stuff, but the price tag is a bit high. I also hope the remaster can enticepeople who were maybe turned off by the original game's issues. You can choose to become a benevolent guide for others or push them to despair as you play through, which is one of the areas in which Dark Souls truly shines. We're not sure why you'd want to subject yourself to Dark Souls' brutal gameplay a second time, but hey, now you can do it on the go.

"How unbelievable that such a bad place could be so inviting".

The description on the YouTube video simply states "Here is a tiny glimpse into our new project" indicating that, perhaps this isn't going to be a game we've seen from From Software before.
