Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account shows first sign of life in three years

Expect news from CD Projekt's long-in-development sci-fi RPG soon.

Simple as the tweet itself may be, its timing does have some significance; it was sent five years to the day after Cyberpunk 2077's first and only teaser trailer was published.

Unfortunately, that was the extent of any official details regarding the game.

The Witcher 3 developer, CD Projekt Red, originally announced Cyberpunk 2077 way way back in 2012.

The controversy hasn't dulled the excitement surrounding the game, however, with the release and subsequent success ofThe Witcher 3 only adding to gamers' anticipation for the award-winning studio's next big title, which is expected to also feature online components. At least, the Twitter account is active again. That's why fans are now going insane over a recent tweet - regardless of how nonsensical that tweet actually is. The game's official Twitter account today made its first tweet after more than four years of silence and the response has been deafening.

Cyberpunk 2077 ranks among Red Dead Redemption 2 as one of the most anticipated games of this generation, despite some rumours about development hiccups along the way. But hey, sometimes you just have to feed into the bullshit, because damn, I can't wait to see Cyberpunk 2077.
