Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered sails for console

This re-launch will be called Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered and will present textures and shades of higher resolution, new visual effects, and better environmental rendering. The team is promising 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, and 1080p across all of the current consoles. The DLC includes two bonus missions - The Armor of Sir Gunn Quest and The Siege of Fort de Sable.

Assassin's Creed Rogue debuted in November 2014 as a farewell letter from the series to past generation platforms. Although this will be the first time that PlayStation 4 players will be able to experience the game, the Xbox One players have been able to play it since early previous year thanks to backward compatibility. A brief 41 second teaser trailer was released to give you a brief overview of what to expect from the remastered edition of the game. Offering a chance to see Assassin's Creed from the Templar side of its millennia-long secret war, the game turns a number of series conventions on their heads, while adding plenty of unique twists of its own. Naval warfare was a huge feature from Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Rogue took it to a whole other level. "Players' journeys will take them from handsome New York City to the Wild River Valley and icy cold waters of the North Atlantic".

The latter contain weapons, customization items and special outfits, including Bayek's legacy outfit from Assassin's Creed Origins. Playing as Shay Patrick Cormac, you'll chart a journey from fearless member of the Assassin's order to bitter and committed Templar, dedicated to hunting down and killing his former brothers. I'm certainly looking forward to playing this one when it drops on PS4 and Xbox One on March 20.
