He said the abuse went on until Bennell suddenly lost interest in him.

On the third day of the trial at Liverpool crown court, the same complainant told the jury that Bennell's house in the Peak District - described by Bennell as "a kids' paradise" - had a pool table, a fruit machine, a jukebox and was filled with sports equipment, but said there was excrement everywhere from dogs.

The game would keep going until his hands were "inside your shirt or inside your underpants", he told told the jury.

Chris Unsworth, 45, said Bennell, 64, preyed on him after scouting him for Manchester City as a junior and the abuse began "straight away" after the defendant started driving him to the club's training ground.

Recalling the alleged assault, he told jurors:"The first time I will never forget it".

One described staying in a house "in the middle of nowhere" on a tour where would play horror films and one of the boys would end up with a sheep's head in his bed, the jury was told. "I was just crying with pain".

He said: "I had a victim; I didn't need two or three or four".

Inside he said there were two sets of bunk beds and a double bed, which Mr Bennell would share with two boys. "Every boy just dreamt of being a footballer, so everybody wanted to please him".

The complainant told the court he was not aware of the possibility of a joint action court case against Crewe Alexandra or any other organisations.

He said he had contacted police in 2016 after seeing former footballers speak about allegations of abuse.

Cross-examined by Eleanor Laws QC, defending, Mr Unsworth denied discussing possible financial compensation with a solicitor or other alleged victims. You was hoping he would not ask you'.

He said: 'This is not about compensation, this is about justice'. "Do you agree or disagree?"

He is appearing in court via video link due to illness.

A transcript of a police interview with Mr Bennell in February previous year was read to the court, which included a denial that he had abused Mr Unsworth.

"As such, he had pretty much unfettered access to large numbers of young lads who dreamt of a life in professional football", Johnson said.

In the interview, Mr Bennell said: "I always tended to aim for the 13-year-olds because that was puberty age and they were becoming a bit more strong-willed and not tied to the apron strings".

The 63-year-old denies the offenses of indecent assault, sodomy and attempted sodomy against 11 complainants, who were aged from eight to 14 at the time of the alleged offenses. has pleaded guilty to seven counts of indecent assault.
