A Colorado university shines in US News' online bachelor's program rankings

In the 2018 Online rankings, the school's undergrad program also stood out: it held onto its ranking from past year and was named the No. 2 program in the US, sharing the slot with Florida's Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and trailing the No. 1 school, the Ohio State University.

Western Illinois University has again been recognized by the U.S.News & World Report for offering some of the best online degree programs. The college's MBA online program retained its No. 16 place overall in a highly competitive field.

"Southeast Online is committed to providing a quality distance education experience", said Chelsea Caile McNeely, director of Southeast's Online Programs. "We take great pride in offering online programs that are taught by the same full-time faculty members who teach on campus".

"GSE's national ranking reflects our commitment to providing top quality and rigorous online education programs", said Suzanne Rosenblith, PhD, professor and dean of the Graduate School of Education.

The College of Business' online programs (non-MBA) in management information systems and risk management and insurance moved up three spots to No. 6 in the latest report and placed No. 5 among public institutions. In addition, according to McAliney, with its dedicated resources for course design, the program captures the best practices in online pedagogy.

Ohio State's 19 online programs are available to students living in most states, the university said in a news release. "The program's ranking is a testament to the vision and expertise of the program's leadership and faculty".

Southeast offers more than 30 academic programs online for undergraduate, graduate and specialist degrees and specialized certificates.

Launched this spring, UMSL NOW offers more than 900 courses each semester in night, strictly online and weekend formats. The programs are listed in a searchable directory, which prospective students can use to find information about tuition, online services and other data. As the online market expands, we also are expanding our educational opportunities to meet the needs of tomorrow's business professional. "This honor is a testament to the years of hard work by our wonderful team of support staff, faculty, and administrators to ensure a transformational, virtual experience for our online students".

UF Online was ranked No. 12 based on the following factors: student engagement (35 percent); student services and technology (25 percent); faculty credentials and training (20 percent); and peer reputation (20 percent).
