7 things to know about the Jacksonville Jaguars v. Pittsburgh Steelers matchup

Super Bowl 52 will be a matchup between the AFC South Champion Jacksonville Jaguars and NFC South Champion New Orleans Saints.

As far as Bortles goes, he probably won't put up big numbers. "Like I said, we collectively, everyone - it starts with me to [offensive coordinator Nathaniel] Hackett to the assistant coaches to the players - we've got to do a better job". I want to make him look like Blake Bortles if I can and try to catch a couple picks.

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, already a notorious trash talker and well on his way to earning himself the chance to supplant Richard Sherman as the league's bad-boy corner with a game to back it up, isn't fazed at all by words said before a game or even during it. They aren't going to be in a wish-granting mood when it comes to Roethlisberger and the Steelers. It's like, 'Hey, what do you like about him?' I say, 'He's tough, both mentally and physically'. I'm trying to go out there and win the game.

Simms told The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on Tuesday that Bortles is 70th in his National Football League quarterback rankings, below backups Chad Henne (Jacksonville), T.J. Yates (Houston) and Nathan Peterman (Buffalo).

Bortles ran for more yards than he threw for last week against the Bills and that game was at home. Bortles is a guy who is prone to frazzle under pressure - that's been his hallmark - and I wonder why anyone thinks he will suddenly find himself to be a calming force in a road playoff game.

After the Jaguars beat the Texans, 45-7, last month (Jacksonville's second win over Houston this season), Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney called Bortles "trash".

Last week, Roethlisberger said on his radio show that he wanted to play the Jaguars in the divisional round.

He managed just 87 yards through the air against the Bills last week and though he made up yards with his legs, he will need to be better to topple an improved Pittsburgh outfit. He passed for 3,687 yards this season, giving him at least 3,500 yards passing in each of the last three years ... No man playing this game has never had adversity. For the year, the Steelers gave up 201.1 yards a game through the air, though that number jumped to 234.2 yards a game in the five contests that he missed due to a fibula injury.

The former first-round selection signed a two-year pact with the Steelers this summer. "You kind of look at the numbers and look at the game and say, 'You played bad.' Or you look at it and say, 'Things weren't going right here and you found a way to win and be efficient and move the ball and do different things.' I think that's how I feel about it". We didn't necessarily stick to our game plan.

If I learned anything this season it was to throw out past history and faith in a team based on brand recognition. Things weren't going well. And, that said, Bortles would be faced with more than one situation (say a 2nd-and-17 or 3rd-and-9 or something like that) where he'd have to complete a big pass in a big situation.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday in an AFC Divisional Round playoff game. He gained more yards running than throwing vs. Buffalo in the wild-card round.

"We don't care what he's thinking", Jaguars corner A.J. Bouye said. "That would be awesome. This is the freshest I've ever been going into the playoffs so we'll see how it goes".

I know what you are saying - and your point is well-taken.
