Lithuanian coach roasts LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball with job offer

Asked about his reaction to LiAngelo Ball's withdrawal from the university, Alford on Tuesday told a group of reporters (via ESPN), "I don't think it's angry".

Alford did not know if LiAngelo Ball had officially withdrawn from UCLA.

"LiAngelo has been, since coming back (from China), he's been tremendous", Alford said during media availability on Tuesday.

"If you're looking for one word, maybe it's surprised because it's nothing that we saw coming".

Wednesday, Nov. 15's news conference at UCLA was held less that 20 hours after Cody Riley, from left, LiAngelo Ball and Jalen Hill arrived at LAX after a flight from China.

With LaVar Ball yanking his son out of college in the classic, "this isn't going my way so I'm taking my ball and going home", move, there are surely parents throwing their hands up in the air filled with anger and disgust.

The Bruins announced Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were indefinitely suspended after stealing from multiple stores when the team was in Hangzhou preparing for a November 10 game against Georgia Tech.

LaVar Ball recently pulled LiAngelo Ball from UCLA after he was suspended indefinitely.

Emmert said LiAngelo Ball should not have been at UCLA if he was only there to prepare for a career as a pro basketball player.

The middle son, LiAngelo, was involved in a highly publicized incident in China that resulted in the arrest of three UCLA players for theft from a handful of high-end stores during the UCLA men's basketball team's trip overseas for a game. This tweet confronting Ball came only days after Trump called out the three players, demanding a thank you for what he did for them.

I'll be the first to admit, I didn't think much of the Ball family when I first heard about three brothers in California who were hyped to be the next great family in basketball. Arturs Stalbergs, head coach of the Lithuanian basketball team KK Lietkabelis Panevezys, offered a job for the Balls, although it likely wasn't one LaVar had in mind.

Alford noted since returning to the United States, Ball has been a model citizen at school. Ball asked during an interview with CNN on Tuesday morning. Alford said he expects a resolution to the Office of Student Conduct's investigation "sooner rather than later". "I'm at the Ostin Center every day working, so if they need to talk, they know where to find me".
