Kehlani Wins Rule Breaker Award, Performs

She revealed at Thursday's Billboard's Women in Music event that her Los Angeles home was broken into, but the singer is still reflecting on the positive abundance in her life.

Selena Gomez took home the main honor of the evening with Billboard's 2017 Woman of the Year.

She wrote a tear-jerking post on Instagram that read: "I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of".

The superstar didn't offer many details of the robbery, but when asked if the thieves got anything of value, Clarkson responded, "Materialistic things we didn't care about". It feels good to be able to share my story the way I want to. Gomez choked up as she dedicated the award to her friend Francia Raisa, who earlier this year donated a kidney to Gomez, who struggles with lupus. And finally, there aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my handsome friend Francia Raisa. She saved my life... The two discussed how the songbird would one day "define success" with not only her innate skill-set and fiery determination, but by "existing in her truth".

"Honestly, I couldn't be more grateful for the position I've been given in my career from 7 to 14 to now", she continued. And several of the honorees performed during the event, including Camila Cabello, Kelly Clarkson, Kehlani, and Grace VanderWaal.
