Nag Gets Emotional on Fire Accident at Annapurna

Nagarjuna said nobody was injured, adding it was rather sad that the set erected for film "Manam" was gutted. When there is no guarantee of life itself, we need not worry about the set.

Regular reality shoes, television soaps and films are shot at the Annapurna Studios on a daily basis.

A major fire broke out at Annapurna Studios, which is under Jubilee Police station limits, on Monday evening. "Though the flames were very high, the blaze was completely extinguished within two hours", as per reports on NDTV. TV reports say that the sets have been completely burnt. Manam was a special movies as it starred the Akkineni of all three generations - Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. However there is no confirmed news on the same. However, by all appearances short circute is suspected to be the reason, he said.


Annapurna Studios was established in 1975 by the late Telugu actor Nageswara Rao Akkineni. When asked about the value of the set, he said, "When it started, Annapurna Studios was built on a small scale".

Only recently the famous RK Studios was caught in a severe incident. Four fire engines had to be deployed to bring the fire under control.
