Israel will continue 'acting in Syria', Netanyahu tells US & Russia

Officials from the US National Security Council have reportedly flown in for talks with Israeli security heads slated to begin Tuesday, primarily over the US-Russia agreement regarding Syria and Iran's growing threat to the region, US officials confirmed.

A United States national security delegation arrived in Israel on Tuesday for high-level meetings with Israeli counterparts to discuss the Syria ceasefire deal that Washington has struck with Moscow, despite reservations from the Israeli side on not going far enough in tackling Iran's presence in southern Syria.

Prosecutors involved with the bribery and money laundering case are now working out the details to an indictment for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a wealthy businessman whose collaborators have been tied to the notorious Panama Papers that reveal how the rich hide assets from tax collectors, cited by Haaretz.

According to reports, the deal applies to Iranian proxies fighting on behalf of Assad's regime, which would be required to leave the border area and eventually Syria.

Netanyahu's words come two days after a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which they agreed to expand the July 7 ceasefire in the southwestern triangle bordering Israel and Jordan.

Israel has said it will not accept a permanent military presence by Iran and its allies in Syria, especially near the Israeli border.

Representatives of other security branches will also participate in the discussions, which are slated to be held days after Russian Federation, the USA and Jordan signed an agreement on a cease-fire in southern Syria.

The other part those genius peacemakers at the Pentagon permitted was for Iran's armies to deploy 12 to 3 miles from Israel's border - according to Ha'aretz.

Over the weekend IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot made an undeclared trip to Brussels to speak with the top USA general in Europe.

Israeli Minister for Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi said Sunday that the agreement "does not answer Israel's unequivocal demands that there will be no developments that bring Iranian or Hezbollah forces closer to Israel's border with Syria in the north".
