Erdogan Demands Russia, US to Withdraw their Forces from Syria

Special emphasis will be given to the latest developments in the Syrian cities of Idlib and Afrin, the Turkish president told reporters in Istanbul before his departure for Sochi.

"I'm going to emphasize that our relations can be considered re-established nearly in their entirety", Vladimir Putin said on Monday, welcoming Recep Tayyip Erdogan to his vacation home in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Efe news reported.

Ankara is seeking to isolate the party in order to prevent its linking up with other Kurdish regions in northern Syria.

"We are looking to take joint steps with Russian Federation on these issues", said Erdogan.

For his part, Erdoğan also said Turkey's work with Russian Federation and Iran has yielded positive results on the ground.

The last meeting between Erdogan and Putin was on September 28 in Turkey's capital Ankara with talks on Iraq and Syria issues. "If a military solution is out of the question, then those who say this should pull their troops out", Erdogan told reporters before flying to Russian Federation.

He stated that a military solution was not possible in Syria, condemning the ongoing deaths at the hands of the Syrian regime.
