Justice League Clips Includes New Look At Steppenwolf

You can catch Wonder Woman in action next in Justice League, which arrives on November 17. And we're not the only ones who feel that way.

Gal Gadot reprises her role as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince and there's new additions to the DC movie universe - Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash and Ray Fisher Victor Stone/Cyborg. Sure, she was arguably the best thing in the movie, but it felt like a odd move to introduce a member of DC's Trinity nearly as an afterthought.

None of us knew exactly...exactly what's the backstory of Wonder Woman. In the film, Diana said, "A hundred years ago I walked away from mankind, from a century of horrors".

The cast of Justice League is now in doing press in Beijing, which means we finally have more of one of our very favorite things: Gal Gadot saying words about Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman made her long-awaited live-action big screen debut in last year's Batman v Superman as a reclusive warrior who stepped out of the shadows to help combat Doomsday, a biological terror concocted by the villainous Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and unleashed onto Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill).

She continued, "The reason why she left the island was because she wanted to make their lives better and safer".

Well, it turns out that now you basically have to pretend Diana's origins in Batman vs. Superman didn't happen. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.

Without taking the time to develop Diana's history and motivation, it's just another example of how Batman v. Superman felt like a rushed production.

So many superhero stories-especially in the DCEU-are centered around these characters hitting their lowest point, giving up on themselves or the people they're supposed to protect, and embracing their darkness. And most importantly, the audience deserved a better movie.
