Gal Gadot Lines Up WWII Revenge Film Before 'Wonder Woman 2'

Her star ascendant after stepping from Fast and Furious to Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot has added post-World War II revenge thriller Ruin to her upcoming schedule. Gadot, if she signs on, would be able to film Ruin and then immediately get to work on Petty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2. Deadline reports that the actress is set to join Justin Kurzel's film, which is set to start shooting in the early part of 2018.

Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". The plot of Ruin involves a guilt-ridden ex-Nazi on a mission through the wreckage of post-war Germany to find and kill the remaining members of his former SS death squad.

Ryan and Matt Firpo wrote the script but, according to Empire magazine, no actors have been attached to the movie and it's not known when it will go into production.

Kurzel won an award from the Australian Academy and five more from Cannes Film Festival with his own feature film debut, crime drama Snowtown, before returning in 2015 with Shakespearean adaptation Macbeth, featuring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard in its leading roles.

Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017. Gadot has also agreed to star in Deeper with Bradley Cooper (written by Max Landis and directed by Kornel Mundruczo). Her DCEU commitments mean she is locked in to Justice League 2 and the Flash standalone Flashpoint as well as Wonder Woman 2.
