Fitness Coach Dubs Antonio Conte's Training Methods

Chelsea won the Premier League at a canter last term and were assisted by the fact they had no European football to contend with, meaning Conte often had a full week to prepare for matches.

Eden Hazard reckons Chelsea can still retain the Premier League title.

There are fears that his intense training sessions, and the heavy workloads he inflicts, are "hampering their title defence" and "exacerbating the club's injury problems".

According to Matt Huges of The Times, the Chelsea players are sick of Conte's training routines.

Watford's Richarlison has revealed that after being held at gunpoint in Brazil, the prospect of playing Chelsea "seems much easier".

They have also lost a number of key figures to injury.

"Chelsea are going to be competing, they are going to be taking points off all of the teams around them, but I think ultimately the teams with the deepest squads - Man City and Man Utd will be very close [to winning the Premier League title]".

Danny Drinkwater, Davide Zappacosta and goalkeeper Willy Caballero were also brought to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but youngsters Nathaniel Chalobah, Nathan Ake and back-up stopper Asmir Begovic were allowed to leave. "After two defeats and one draw, no coach can be happy".

"The team won the league past year and they had no Champions League or Europe so they could just concentrate on the league", he told Sky Sports show, The Debate.

The Hornets have been excellent this season, and the only black spot is a massive 0-6 home loss to Manchester City, but they responded well and managed to win two in the next three matches.

N'Golo Kante, Victor Moses, David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko are all spending time on the treatment table.

Alvaro Morata is still the team's top scorer with seven goals to his name, and although he looked a bit rusty against Roma, it's only a matter of time when he'll start scoring again, and this matchup could be somewhat favorable for the former Real Madrid striker. "The reality is we have gone three games without a win".

Chelsea are looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime when they host Watford at Stamford Bridge.
