Cowboys should look to Sam Irwin-Hill if Dan Bailey misses time

Forced into emergency kicking duties after Dan Bailey went down with a right groin injury in the second half, Cowboys safety Jeff Heath made two of three extra points in the Cowboys' 40-10 victory over the 49ers on Sunday.

Bailey, who has never missed a game and is the most accurate kicker in National Football League history, pointed to the injury to Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas, who was placed on injured reserve after an National Football League record 10,363 consecutive snaps played.

Cowboys defensive back Jeff Heath, best known for nearly decapitating a guy on the football field, was a kicker for Lake Orion High School (Mich.), and once hit a dramatic, game-winning 49-yard field goal.

Nugent is perhaps the most notable name on the aforementioned list of potential Cowboys kickers.

The seven-year veteran is the NFL's all-time leader in field goal percentage (89.899%) and has never missed an extra point. Heath sent the kickoff to the goal line, and it was returned just 14 yards.

Heath's first kick was equally comical and dramatic, as the ball CLANG!ed off the upright but still found its way through.

"Jeff Heath stepped in there and did a really nice job for us", Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said following the win. Lastly, Koo was with the Los Angeles Chargers for the first four games of the season before being cut back on October 5.
