Apple is working with LG Display on a foldable iPhone for 2020

On average, analysts expect that Apple will report full year earnings of $8.94 per share for the current year, with EPS estimates ranging from $8.64 to $9.33.

Another radical change that Apple made with the iPhone X is taking out the home button. It must be really hard for Apple to have to work with its arch-rival in this way, but as it seems, it is out of sound alternatives.

That is not to say that the foldable iPhone leak might take place from LG's side; it might definitely take place but there are smaller chances of that happening.

LG Display will create a foldable OLED panel for the 2020 iPhone, according to unnamed industry sources.

Alongside the screen, a future foldable iPhone would also require a flexible circuit board and Apple may also assign the printing of such a circuit board to LG. Apple typically kickstarts new iPhone projects at least a year before launch, sharing key features like the screen with suppliers.

A wave of unsatisfied customers complaints has hit Apple not long before the release of iPhone X. Apple customers are complaining about the battery life mainly but also reports have appeared online of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices bursting open due to faulty batteries. To be more precise, Apple has agreed to work with LG Display, an arm of LG, on bendable OLED screens. The first batch of the production will be shipped to LG Electronics and some Chinese handset makers, while the production for iPhone is expected to start from as early as 2019 when its new plant, called E6, is completed in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. Apple has also put an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel and the iPhone X will support HDR, TrueTone and 3D Touch display. Apple already has a head start in the segment, and the company believes they will be able to maintain an unassailable lead over Android in the segment for the next few years.
