Amazon Is Hiring 120000 Holiday Workers. Here's How to Apply

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced today that it is creating more than 120,000 positions this holiday season across 33 states in the USA, which is exactly the same number of holiday season hires the company made past year. Previous year the company hired about 10,000 holiday workers in California.

Amazon on Thursday said the seasonal jobs will be spread out over more than 75 fulfillment centers countrywide to help pick, pack and ship holiday orders. Some of these short-term jobs also get converted to full-time, regular positions, says Amazon.

Amazon said it is creating more than 120,000 positions at its USA network of fulfillment centers, sortation centers and customer service sites for the holiday season and more than 1,500 of them will be in CT, according to a local public relations agency.

The number of seasonal workers added to handle the holiday season rush is expected to almost doubles the company's regular full-time ranks.

Walmart's e-commerce offering is far more robust this year, with online-ordering-in-store-pickups now active at over 1,000 locations, and the newly launched Mobile Express Returns program in place in time for the holidays.

Inc said it would hire 120,000 workers in the United States this holiday season, same as previous year, as the online behemoth prepares for the holiday shopping frenzy.

Target said it would hire 100,000 temp workers, banking on its successful turnaround efforts, which saw it report its first rise in comp sales in more than a year in August. They also announced a one-day kickoff as part of its drive to hire 50,000 full-time workers.
